NAFs forskningspris for 2023 går til Theresa M. Olasveengen.

Prisen tildeles Theresa Olasveengen, som har utmerket seg ved fremragende forskning og således er kvalifisert til å motta prisen. Hennes forskning spenner vidt, fra pre-hospitalmedisin, basal og avansert hjertelungeredning til intensivmedisin, herunder nevrointensiv og omfattende COVID-19-publikasjoner.

Hennes forskning er klinisk så vel som eksperimentell, og Theresa Olasveengen bidrar til å belyse dyreeksperimentelle studiers plass i medisinsk forskning: Cerebral perfusion and metabolism with mean arterial pressure 90 vs. 60 mmHg in a porcine post cardiac arrest model with and without targeted temperature management.

Theresa Olassveengens gjennomslagskraft innen basal hjerte-lungeredning kommer klart til uttrykk ved at hun var førsteforfatter for de europeiske retningslinjene for basal hjertelungeredning som kom i 2021.

Theresa Olasveengen deltar også i internasjonale multisenterstudier, og var sentral for Ullevål sykehus’ bidrag til Mild Hypercapnia or Normocapnia after Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest, som ble publisert i New England Jouranl of Medicine tidligere i år.
