SSAI-kongressen 2022

Invitation to SSAI 2022 in Oslo!

Dear Nordic Colleague,

The SSAI congress will take place in Oslo from 8th to 10th June 2022 at the Clarion Hotel The Hub downtown Oslo within close walking distance from the Central Railway and Bus Station.

The overall theme of the congress is “Monitoring Life”. As medical professionals within the fields of anesthesia, intensive care medicine, acute medicine and pain medicine, we are monitoring a plethora of pathophysiological variables daily. Monitoring, however, goes far beyond this and includes supervision of the whole process of diagnosis, treatment, prognostics, ethical issues and care for our patients and their relatives. As anesthesiologists and intensivists, we MONITOR and care for LIFE.

We expect the SSAI Congress in Oslo 2022 to be a long-awaited opportunity to physically meet, mingle and discuss our latest achievements within the international community of anesthesiologists and intensivists. Enclosed in this mail is a flyer for the congress, and you can also check www.SSAI2022.com for more information. The web site is open for registration at early bird prizes. The deadline for abstract is now extended to April 1st, with a notification to authors on April 25th. Abstract prizes are DKK 85 000 of which DKK 25 000 to the winner. A scientific committee of 16 independent persons from the Nordic countries, all highly qualified in the field of anesthesiology, will judge the abstracts.

We have published the preliminary program without speakers’ names until confirmed. More than 100 lecturers are invited of which the majority of course is from the SSAI countries. However, highly rewarded speakers from UK, Canada, USA, Belgium,
Netherland, Germany and New Zealand have confirmed their contribution. We are proud to present such a high-leveled competent faculty. We hope you find the program inspiring! The program covers all fields in our specialty, both clinically and scientifically, in addition to themes like pollution caused by anesthesia drugs and gases, DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion),
artificial intelligence and climate crisis: implications for medical treatment and much more. Study the program and make your choices between 6 parallel sessions.

There will be many opportunities for social gatherings: a welcome reception in the City hall on Wednesday and a conference dinner with excellent food and superb entertainment on Thursday. Other social options are strolling in “Marka” (the scenery surrounding Oslo) and a running/jogging event every day with guided 5K – 20 K routes. In addition, you have all what Oslo offers during light summer evenings and nights.

Are you eager to meet all your colleagues that you have not seen in nearly three long years?
Register today! www.SSAI2022.com

We look very much forward to meeting you in Oslo.

Kind regards,
